Schumacher remains in a critical condition

– Michael Schumacher remains in a critical condition as a result of the head injury he suffered in a skiing accident in the French Alps on Sunday morning, reporters have been told following a press conference at the Grenoble hospital where he is being treated. Specialists confirmed that he has been operated on only once – despite reports in the French media to the contrary. The German has been placed in an induced coma and has suffered brain swelling and bruising. French doctors added that he is in an ‘extremely serious’ condition and that ‘for the moment they are not able to express ourselves with regard to Michael Schumacher’s future’.
