Schumacher 'still 'critical'

Michael Schumacher's condition is improving but the seven-time Formula champion remains in critical condition following his skiing accident.Schumacher spent a third night in intensive care at the University Hospital of Grenoble after he hit his head on a rock and was airlifted off Meribel's slopes on Sunday. The 44-year-old has since undergone two operations to release some of the pressure on his brain and removed a dangerous haematoma. The surgeons admitted to being "surprised" at the improvement in Schumacher's condition, with a scan on Monday afternoon giving them the go-ahead to perform a procedure they had not expected to be able to safely execute.
