Formula E car makes its Vegas bow

While much of the US was shivering under Arctic conditions, there were no such problems in Nevada on Monday as the new Formula E fully-electric race car made its début public appearance on the city's main thoroughfare, the Las Vegas Strip.The Spark-Renault SRT_01E was put through its paces with a high-speed display around the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and up to Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino.It was the first chance that invited guests, media representatives and fans had been able to see what the new car can do in the hands of a driver such as former F1 star Lucas di Grassi, who was given a police escort for his outing.The Formula E world championship is due to launch in September...
