McLaren has become the first team to confirm the date of the launch of its new F1 car, named the MP4-29. Mercedes AMG meanwhile look set to hold a low profile launch immediately before testing. McLaren confirmed they will hold an online launch on Friday 24 January, 4 days ahead of the start of the first winter test at Jerez. The team's launch will take place at noon UK time. At the same time, Mercedes confirmed to roll-out its new W05 at Jerez on 28 January 'without a launch event before that date'.
