Van der Garde moves to Sauber as reserve driver

Giedo van der Garde has been confirmed as a reserve and test driver at Sauber for the 2014 season, following a strong debut campaign for Caterham in 2013. The Dutch driver has been guaranteed some Friday practice runs and in-season test outings by the team. The news now confirms that he is out of the frame for a race seat at the team who he made his debut for last year. He joins Sauber's 2014 drivers Adrian Sutil and Esteban Gutierrez, as well as fellow test driver Sergey Sirotkin who was announced in December.
