DTM debut for Petrov at Portimão test
– Ex-Formula 1 driver Vitaly Petrov has been given his first official DTM test outing by Mercedes. The 29-year-old Russian, who experienced spells with Renault and Caterham during his time in the top echelon, is getting behind the wheel of the DTM Mercedes AMG C-Coupé at the Portimão circuit on Thursday. "I'm absolutely delighted and really grateful to Mercedes-Benz for inviting me to test drive one of their DTM cars," said Petrov. "This test is a great opportunity to get back in the cockpit of a high-performance racing car. "The DTM is top-class and one of the most competitive touring car series in the world."
