Boullier leaves Lotus, Lopez becomes team principal

Eric Boullier has left his position as Lotus team principal with immediate effect. The Frenchman joined Lotus ahead of the 2010 season but has departed the team. Co-chairman Gerard Lopez will take over the role of team principal. "Lotus F1 Team has never stood still and we head into what promises to be an exciting 2014 season with an innovative new car, new partners and a new management structure at Enstone," said Lopez.
