Electronic issues sideline McLaren

McLaren failed to put in a single lap on the opening day of pre-season testing due to "electrical issues" with the new MP4-29. The Woking team was schedule to run on Tuesday with Jenson Button entrusted with the driving duties. The Brit, though, wasn't able to put in even a single lap of the Jerez circuit as his team worked furiously on the car. "Today was a challenging start to the MP4-29's test and development programme," McLaren said in a statement. "Along with other teams, we faced difficulties readying our new car for the first winter test of 2014.
