Tech Analysis: Mercedes W05

Having already seen a number of teaser shots on their Twitter page, Mercedes finally broke cover on their W05. Outwardly more complex than its rivals at this stage, the W05 represents a confident assault on the 2014 regulations from the Anglo-German outfit. Front wing/Nose Although not as striking as the Lotus nose we saw last week, Mercedes have done more to this area of the car than what meets the eye. Starting with the basic layout of the nose, its cross section is not too dissimilar to the Ferrari F14 T, even including the two camera pods mounted via a pair of 'horns'.
