Vergne: Missing out on RBR was good
Last season he was deeply disappointed not to have secured a Red Bull race seat, however, this year Jean-Eric Vergne says it is a "good" thing. With Mark Webber announcing his retirement from F1 last season, Red Bull were in the hunt for a replacement and eventually opted to promote Daniel Ricciardo ahead of fellow Toro Rosso driver Vergne. The Frenchman was disappointed at losing out but after some reflection admits it is good that he is spending another year with Toro Rosso.
