Caterham: Kovalainen hurt by Lotus stint

– Heikki Kovalainen's trying two-race stint for Lotus at the end of last year hindered his chances of securing a race seat with Caterham for the upcoming F1 campaign, the latter's team chief, Tony Fernandes, has claimed. Kovalainen acted as the Leafield-based outfit's reserve driver in 2013 after three seasons occupying a race seat, but Lotus handed him to opportunity to substitute for fellow Finn Kimi Räikkönen at final two rounds.
