Renault confirms successful engine update

Renault has confirmed that its 2014 power unit ran in an updated configuration “without any reliability problems” during the Lotus filming days.Lotus was present at Jerez over the weekend and managed to complete the maximum 100km of running allowed on Saturday with its new E22. Renault had been working on fixes for a number of problems experienced with its new power unit at the first test a week earlier, and Renault Sport F1 confirmed that it was able to authenticate those over the weekend.“Basic objectives were to support the Lotus program with a power unit configuration and operation to allow systems' checks and basic car operation,” Renault confirmed. “The latest PU...
