McLaren stalwart Alexander hospitalised

Tyler Alexander shares a joke with Lewis Hamilton at the 2010 Canadian Grand Prix Sutton Images Enlarge Tyler Alexander, a stalwart of the McLaren team, is in hospital after being taken ill last week. Alexander's career in F1 spanned 46 years after originally joining as a mechanic, before rising through the ranks. Over the course of five decades he became one of McLaren's principal figures before his retirement in 2009, and recently released the book Inside McLaren about his experiences at the team. McLaren confirmed the news on its official Twitter account, which read: "Best wishes to McLaren legend Tyler Alexander, who's in hospital at the moment #GetWellSoonBuddy". They did...
