Lopez plays down Lotus troubles

Lotus owner Gerard Lopez believes his team might be better prepared for the 2014 season than some of their rivals. The Enstone team's financial problems are well known and it was suggested that they skipped the season's first official test due to financial problems. Lopez, however, claims their absence in Jerez was a strategic decision rather than a cost-cutting one. "We said that there would be some (technical) trouble and it was actually the case," he told France's Infosport Plus.
