V8 GP support to adopt double points format

The Albert Park round of the 2014 International V8 Supercar Championship will feature a unique race and points' format as part of its tie-in to support the Formula 1 World Championship, it has been confirmed.The event has long been a popular part of the Australian GP support package, becoming something of a blue riband event for teams and drivers despite not being part of the V8 Supercar championship calendar itself.For the 2014 edition of the event, however, the series will introduce a handful of revisions to the race format, most notably double-file rolling starts and double-file safety car restarts.Furthermore, the third race of the weekend will offer double points, mirroring the recent...
