New tyres more consistent Pirelli

Pirelli's 2014 F1 tyres are “more consistent and durable” than last year, according to Paul Hembery.After running in cool conditions during the first test at Jerez, the second test in Bahrain last week allowed the teams to focus on the new tyres in more representative conditions. With a total of 2322 laps being completed throughout the four days, Pirelli was able to gather plenty more data and Hembery said one clear change was that there was less debris from the tyres being discarded on to the track.“The teams were able to learn more about tyres over the four days in Bahrain than they could in Jerez two weeks ago, thanks to increased running time and optimal weather conditions,”...
