– Mercedes has confirmed that a gearbox problem truncated Lewis Hamilton's running on the second day of the final test in Bahrain. Hamilton completed 89 laps of the Sakhir circuit and set the seventh fastest time. The British driver recovered from a spin during the morning which caused a red flag period.
