Lotus forced to end second day of final test early after engine fire
Lotus called an early end to testing for the second time in as many days after an engine fire curtailed the Enstone-based squad’s running on day two of the final pre-season test in Bahrain.
All Pastor Maldonado managed in his E22 on Friday were a paltry 31 laps of the 5.4 kilometer Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir, following a troubled opening day of the test during which the squad was struck by an exhaust issue that also limited their running to just 31 laps and forced them to end their day early.
