Lewis Hamilton believes he has the car to succeed in 2014 and is 'more fired up than ever' to try and win his second Formula 1 world title. The Mercedes W05 was the most reliable car of the field in pre-season testing and completed a total of 974 laps over the 12 days, the most of any team. This enabled the Brackley-based outfit to switch focus to performance runs and race simulation work before its rivals.
