Hulkenberg: Red Bull is fast

An improved showing from Red Bull may have surprised some, but not Nico Hulkenberg who enjoyed a solid first day back at work. The German reeled off an almost complete race distance on the opening day's running in Melbourne, which came as a pleasant surprise following a difficult pre-season.'Everything went smoothly,' he said after the second free practice session in Albert Park. 'We could go through our programme pretty much like last year, like a normal Friday.'From that point of view it's been a good day,' he added.
