Bernie Ecclestone's days as F1 supremo could be nearing an end - but it is his age, not his legal trouble, that is responsible. Ecclestone has been at the helm of Formula One for 40 years, however, as he is set to mark his 84th birthday later this year he admits he's contemplating retirement. He told The Mirror: "I'm going to be 84 at the end of this year so I am probably going to have to start to think, 'Do I want to go into the 85th year doing what I've been doing for goddamn how many years'.
