'Magnussen promotion the right decision'

McLaren Group CEO Ron Dennis is confident that promoting rookie Kevin Magnussen as a replacement for Sergio Perez was the right decision. The 21-year-old Dane is the reigning Formula Renault 3.5 champion and replaced Perez as Jenson Button's partner at McLaren at the end of the 2013 season. Magnussen then repaid the faith Dennis put in him by finishing on the podium in his debut race at the Australian Grand Prix earlier this month, before being elevated to second position after the disqualification of Daniel Ricciardo.
