Mallya: More performance needed for podiums

– Force India F1 boss Vijay Mallya has conceded the squad will need to find a bit more performance if they are to challenge for podiums. The Silverstone-based team began the season encouragingly with Nico Hülkenberg and Sergio Pérez both scoring in Australia two weeks ago, after provisionally finishing sixth and tenth respectively. Mallya now wants to see the team build on that at Sepang, venue for the second round in the 2014 Formula 1 World Championship: “If we can reproduce the performance level we showed in Melbourne that will be a good starting point [this weekend],” Mallya confirmed. “Australia was definitely a respectable start, without a doubt, and probably the best...
