Malaysia preview - teams set to feel the heat in Kuala Lumpur

The 2014 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix, like the Australian round which opened the new season a fortnight ago, won’t give us all of the answers about the pecking order under the new rules, but it will uncover a little more of the truth. With much higher humidity and soaring ambient temperatures - between 45 and 41 degrees Celsius compared to Melbourne’s 27 and 19 - the race in Kuala Lumpur will throw up a whole different range of issues for the teams and drivers to deal with. The Sepang track is somewhat abrasive but relatively free of bumps after resurfacing following the 2007 race, and the kerbs are also less of a problem here than at some other tracks. There are...
