Marcus Ericsson apologises after qualifying incident at Malaysia

Marcus Ericsson has apologised to his team after crashing out of qualifying for the Malaysian Grand Prix during the latter stages of the opening segment, which eventually got underway after several days due to an extreme thunderstorm which struck the circuit. At the time Ericsson was striving to rise out of the drop-zone, in what was the Swedish rookie’s first endeavour in wet conditions in Formula 1. Once again the Leafield-based outfit has endured a tough race weekend around the Sepang International Circuit, with technical gremlins striking both cars throughout the course of the weekend.
