Bianchi: 'There was nothing I could do'

Jules Bianchi says there was nothing he could do to avoid hitting Pastor Maldonado's Lotus on the first lap of the Malaysian Grand Prix. The Frenchman made contact with Jean-Eric Vergne's Toro Rosso on the entry to the corner which instantly punctured his tyre. The collision with Maldonado forced him to retire the car a few laps later due to a brake problem. He will be hoping for a stronger showing and a more trouble-free race weekend in Bahrain next weekend. 'Unfortunately the situation with Maldonado was a consequence of what happened off the start, when Vergne hit me from behind and punctured my left rear tyre,' he explained.
