Smedley to begin new Williams job

Rob Smedley and Felipe Massa will be reunited this weekend as the Brazilian's former race engineer begins working with Williams. With Massa leaving Ferrari at the end of last season, Smedley also opted to take up a new post and signed on as the head of vehicle performance at Williams. This weekend will mark his first race with Williams with the 40-year-old set to take over as the man in charge on the pitwall. "He'll be track and I will be factory and testing," chief test and support engineer Rod Nelson told Autosport.
