Sauber F1 Team Esteban Gutierrez says that there was nothing he could do to avoid Pastor Maldonado during the Bahrain Grand Prix. Gutierrez was tipped into a roll by his Venezuelan rival at the first corner and was taken to hospital but later released. The race stewards deemed that Maldonado was at fault as he was given a 10 second stop/go penalty, a five place grid penalty for the Chinese Grand Prix and had his super license endorsed with three points.
