Rosberg fastest on opening day of Bahrain in-season test

Nico Rosberg topped the timesheets on the first day of the opening 2014 in-season test, which took place at the Bahrain International Circuit. There will be four separate tests during the year, with each event lasting two days. Bahrain is currently hosting the first, with the remaining three taking place in Spain, Britain and Abu Dhabi. Each team must devote one of the available days to tyre testing with Formula 1′s supplier Pirelli. A schedule for the in-season tests was released by the Italian firm last month. Caterham was the sole team to work with Pirelli on the first day of the Bahrain test, with reserve driver Robin Frijns at the wheel of the CT05. He completed 63 laps in the...
