Pirelli makes 'useful progress' at Sakhir test

– Pirelli says it made "useful progress" at the first of four planned post-race tests at the Sakhir circuit. As a new regulation for the 2014 season, all 11 Formula 1 teams must dedicate one of their test days to tyre work for the sport's sole supplier, while prototype compounds will be widely used at the final Abu Dhabi gathering. Caterham, Mercedes and Williams carried out tyre duties this week, racking up 247 laps on development sets.
