Pirelli reveals further tyre nominations

Pirelli Motorsport Media Formula 1's tyre supplier Pirelli has announced its compound nominations for the start of the 'European' part of the season. The Medium and Hard tyre will be used at the Spanish Grand Prix next month. This is due to the characteristics of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya putting high-energy loads through the tyres, while high ambient temperatures and the roughness of the tarmac means that the tyres on the left-hand side are particularly stressed. The mechanical grip required in Monaco and Canada means that Pirelli will again bring the Supersoft and Soft tyres - the softest tyres in their range - to those two events.
