Márquez thumps rivals in third practice

– Reigning World Champion Marc Márquez continued his domination of the second round of the 2014 MotoGP season as he set the fastest during the third free practice session ahead of this weekend's Grand Prix of the Americas. Márquez's best lap of 2:03.046 was 0.745s quicker than his nearest rival, LCR'S Stefan Bradl. Márquez's Honda team-mate Dani Pedrosa was third quickest, ahead of Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso and Tech 3 rider Bradley Smith. Andrea Iannone was sixth for Pramac, ahead of Jorge Lorenzo and Ducati's Cal Crutchlow. Pol Espargaró was ninth, while Valentino Rossi narrowly made the cut for Q2 by rounding out the top 10.
