Vergne optimistic of points finish

Red Bull/Getty Images Jean-Eric Vergne believes he can return to the top 10 for the first time since the first round of the year in Australia after he qualified in ninth place for the Chinese Grand Prix. Vergne progressed through to the top 10 shootout for the third time in four rounds but has failed to finish the last two events. "I'm really pleased with my qualifying, it's been a great lap," he said. "I'm happy with myself as all my qualifying laps this year so far have been good laps, without mistakes.
