But the net result was the same – an emphatic victory for Mercedes with their rivals left scrounging to collect the scraps. For Lewis Hamilton the word ‘controlled’ comes to mind. Two weeks ago in Bahrain the Brit had to place his car perfectly in order to repel the advances of Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg.
