De Silvestro eyeing Sauber race seat

Simona de Silvestro admits she is aiming to prove to Sauber she is good enough to get a race seat with the team. Fresh from her two-day test at Fiorano between the Chinese and Spanish grands prix, de Silvestro spoke to the media in Barcelona about her plans for the near future and how she hopes to progress. Highlighting that her next test in an old F1 car will see her run on a quicker circuit, de Silvestro said she felt Sauber had offered her a realistic chance of progressing to a race seat. “The next step right now is my next test in the C31 in Valencia – I think it's on June 25th, 26th and 27th – which will be kind of a step more because the track is a little bit more challenging,...
