Technical team shake-up at Caterham

The Caterham F1 Team has announced a restructuring of its senior management, which includes technical director Mark Smith leaving with immediate effect. Smith joined the team in 2011 and his role will not be replaced. Instead, Caterham will create a new technical committee to oversee technical and operational aspects of activities both on and off track. John Iley, Jody Egginton and Gerry Hughes will now take responsibility for specific areas of the team's operational activities as part of the new technical committee and will report directly to team principal Cyril Abiteboul.
