Crashing his E22 on the weekend when Lotus finally showed pace and reliability, Pastor Maldonado was left to lament a lost opportunity. Just minutes into Saturday's qualifying in Spain, the Venezuelan driver lost the car on the kerbs at the exit of Turn Three. The car spun across the track, hitting the barrier on the other side and suffered front end damage.
