Chilton fastest on Day One

Performance was not the be-all for Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes in Barcelona on Tuesday, when he settled for third fastest on day one of the post-Spanish GP test - the shift in priorities boldly emphasised by Max Chilton's proud occupation of the P1 spot for Marussia.Hamilton lapped Chilton twice in Sunday's race but it was the 23-year-old who topped the timesheets after producing a 1:26.464s lap during the closing minutes of the session.
