Pic pleased with Formula 1 return

– Charles Pic said he was pleased to return to a Formula 1 cockpit for the first time since the end of 2013 as he tested the Lotus E22 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain. Pic lost his seat with Caterham at the end of the 2013 season but found refuge as Lotus's reserve driver and his outing in Spain marked his maiden run with the Enstone-based team. Pic set the second quickest time on the first day of the test and completed 70 laps. "The morning was not ideal as it was raining so we were not able to start our programme," he said.
