Pic enjoys very good day for Lotus

Charles Pic said his return to driving during the Spain in-season test was “a very good day” as he set the second fastest time. Having not driven a modern F1 car since the final grand prix of last season – when he was driving for Caterham – Pic finally got his first opportunity for Lotus in Barcelona. A late lap looked set to leave him with the quickest time before Max Chilton's supersoft effort, but Pic said it had been a successful day for both himself and Lotus. “The programme was quite big in the morning, then because of the weather we had to make it a bit smaller,” Pic said. “The morning was not ideal because it was raining so we were not able to start our programme and...
