Charles Pic has declared himself happy after his return to an F1 cockpit on day one of the post-Spanish Grand Prix test. Pic took a surprising second on the timesheets on a day where adverse air and track temperatures wreaked havoc with the teams intensive testing-programmes, not to mention Pirelli’s own tyre-programme. But the Lotus reserve driver continued the team’s recent upturn in form after a difficult first four races, and said he was happy to be back.
