Mercedes trials 'megaphone' exhaust

Mercedes AMG Petronas Mercedes has trialled a 'megaphone' exhaust across the first couple of hours of the second day of testing in Spain. The team fitted a 'megaphone' to the rear of the Mercedes W05 Hybrid after the teams agreed to address complaints over the noise levels of the new power units. Nico Rosberg conducted aero runs early on in the day but later completed a couple of full speed runs, with the megaphone having minimal audible difference trackside. The 'megaphone' has now been removed for the remainder of the day's running.
