Vandoorne qualifies for F1 Super Licence

– Stoffel Vandoorne completed enough laps on his Formula 1 testing debut to qualify for a Super Licence. The McLaren reserve racked up a total of 136 laps on his dedicated day at the post-Spanish Grand Prix test, equating to more than 600km of running and double the amount required by governing body the FIA. "This has been a fantastic day for me: my first experience in a Formula 1 car, and a really great opportunity to get plenty of laps under my belt," said Vandoorne, who is dovetailing his F1 duties with a maiden GP2 campaign.
