Maldonado happy with 'first normal day'

Having finished at the top of the timesheets in Barcelona, Pastor Maldonado reckons that a sign of what Lotus can do on a "normal day." This year has been anything but normal for Lotus as the Enstone team has been plagued by reliability issues. Taking small steps throughout the opening five races, Lotus finally netted their first points of the Championship last Sunday in Spain when Romain Grosjean brought his car home in eighth place. Those steps forward continued at the Barcelona circuit this week when the team took part in a two-day test that culminated with a P1 for Maldonado.
