Another crash awaits Maldonado in Monaco

Pastor Maldonado would be hoping to finish his first Monaco Grand Prix without an incident this weekend after his previous three attempts ended in the barriers. Known for his frequent on-track incidents, a trend which he has continued this season, the Venezuelan faces a steep task of ensuring that he keeps his car intact particularly since the increased torque and reduced downforce levels of the current machines have boosted the challenge this season. In his debut season in 2011, Maldonado clashed with McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton in the closing stages of the race as the two jostled for position at Turn 1.
