Frijns frustrated by Magnussen's success

Caterham reserve driver Robin Frijns has said that he is putting all of his efforts into securing a race seat next season after growing increasingly frustrated sitting on the sidelines. The Dutchman revealed in an interview with GPUpdate that he was perturbed by Kevin Magnussen's success with McLaren after the Dane won the Formula Renault 3.5 championship in 2013, which secured him a full-time seat with the British team. Frijns himself won this title in 2012, beating Magnussen and Marussia driver Jules Bianchi. 'I've raced against him and beat him,' Frijns explained when talking about Magnussen.
