Vettel’s 100th race with Red Bull ends in disappointment

While Daniel Ricciardo racked up his second podium of the season at the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday, his teammate Sebastian Vettel could go no further than five laps. Hindered by an issue with the energy recovery system in qualifying, the four time world champion encountered a problem with his power unit that ended his race early. Vettel, who started fourth, was hoping to challenge Mercedes this weekend at a track where it was hoped that the German manufacturer’s power unit advantage would be the least.
