Monaco ain't what it used to be If Monaco wants to retain its position as the jewel in Formula One's crown, it may need to remove the stones from their setting and send the precious baubles off for a bit of a clean. While never short of posers and poseurs, the Monaco Grand Prix has been on something of a decline in recent years. At the twisty street circuit where overtaking is nigh on impossible, much of the event's associated glamour comes from the river of money that runs throughout the principality, working its way down the hill to a harbour heaving with yachts.
