'Single Friday practice session from 2015'

– Formula 1 is set to reduce the number of practice sessions at Grand Prix weekends from next season.The proposal is for the sport's traditional Thursday media activities to be pushed over to Friday mornings, with just one 90-minute session being held late in the afternoon. This would, in theory, allow team personnel to arrive at a circuit one day later than usual, thus significantly cutting down on hotel expenses and travel costs.The idea comes amid ongoing talks about how to reduce costs, as smaller teams continue to struggle.
