Grosjean doubts Renault will catch Mercedes

Sutton Images Enlarge Romain Grosjean doubts whether Renault will be able to make serious power gains against Mercedes this season. Renault said this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix marks the first point of the season that the engines are out of recovery mode and operating at full power, yet Grosjean still feels the power deficit is making a big difference. With Mercedes making gains throughout the year, Grosjean doubts whether Renault will ever catch up this season. "In Germany or Hungary there is more coming, but every time we do that Mercedes seem to do the same," he said. "The Germans don't speak much but they do improve generally.
